Museum of Local History Weissach im Tal
In the farmhouse, which is over 200 years old, in the kitchen, living room and bedroom, you will see how people lived 100 years ago. Historical household objects, old teaching aids, schoolbooks and toys give an impression of daily farmhouse life long ago.
Authentic tools and instruments show the work processes of the village craftsmen: the smith, wood turner, carpenter and cooper.
There are also various stables and byres for large and small domestic animals with feeding troughs and a cellar with casks and other storage vessels. Next to the house, there is a lovingly tended farmer’s garden with flowers, herbs and – right in the centre – a beehive. The rear garden boasts a traditional vineyard growing grapes for the table and for making wine.
Admission free.
