Service Hiking Trails in the Swabian Forest – The Name Says it All!

Five large, supraregional hiking theme trails make up the fascinating service hiking trails in the Swabian Forest: the Mill Hiking Trail, the Limes Hiking Trail, the Swabian Forest Trail, the Way of St. James and Railway Experience Path.

Here, the name says it all. What they all have in common are the special services made available to hikers. From the standardized sign-posting, detailed flyers with maps of each theme hiking trail through the respectively relevant GPS files and up to the smartphone app from WanderWalter, with maps, texts and pictures, it offers information on attractions, accommodation and places to eat along the way. The principle of museum audio guides has also been incorporated, and the hiker can listen to interesting facts on a smartphone and become immersed in the world of the theme hiking trail.

The service is rounded off with special offers from the nature park visitor guides and the Limes Cicerones, which can only be experienced on the service hiking trails. For instance, the herbwife will guide you through blooming meadows, the Limes Cicerone through the Imperium Romanum, and the “Goldstoffel” visits old, enchanted mining tunnels…

All the service hiking trails can be reached with the tourist buses on Sundays and holidays from May to October.

For excursions, we recommend our brochure “Servicewanderwege" with informations. You can order this in our online shop or download it from the download centre.
