Geological Educational Trail Welzheim

The hiking trail, which is about 12 kilometres long, leads you past lakes, ravines, waterfalls, grottoes, and imposing sandstone formations. Fourteen stations explain the geological features of the Swabian Forest and impart a living picture of geological history. Starting point is the Wanderparkplatz Laufenmühle; alternatively one can start from the Langenberg part of town. Because of the characteristics of this trail and the steepness, sturdy footwear and surefootedness are a must.
