Hummelgautsche Alfdorf

The Vaihinghofer sawmill – locally known as the “Hummelgautsche” – was first mentioned in the  fourteenth century. It is a sawmill and still has its water wheel. In 1973 the sawmill was bought by the Alfdorf community and extensively renovated. Adjacent to the mill is a pleasant barbecue area with a playground.
